New Day's Song

Sky and earth of blue in early morning light

Winter births Spring warm breezes from cold

Birds of cheer sing praises and wings take flight

Life is being born again young takes place of old

Shadows leap in dance as they push away of fog

Sun chases cold and wet and dark to the other mile

Awake and live in life unchained know that He is God

Wipe away the sleep that binds brand it with a smile

Soon the morning, mid and eve will find its resting place

Day will turn to night again as the cycle fights to carry on

Prayers from children young and old cry for morning's race

Birds dream the notes on staff to give to new day's song
